Obsessing over my workout regime isn’t a problem…
MYTH!
Everyone thinks that working out is sort of like…an excuse. “Oh, but she works out all the time.” or “He works out, like, three times a day. So hot.”
No. False. Wrong.
Yes, having a work out routine and incorporating it into your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly schedule is a great way to stay active and healthy and keep your body in line. However, there comes a point where it’s just too much. I know people who work out so many times a day, that I swear they’re always sweating. This “habit” is called compulsive exercising, and can be just as dangerous as bulimia. In fact, it’s even been linked in with bulimia, changing the name to exercise bulimia. Here’s a link to a site that gives a more medical-terminology-filled overview of the disorder. But here’s what you should remember: just because it feels healthy, doesn’t mean that it stays healthy.
